Small Trades Coverage publishes general educational content about business insurance in the United States. It is not insurance advice, legal advice, tax advice or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for reading your own policy or speaking with a licensed professional in your state.
Nothing on this site creates an agent relationship, a broker relationship, or any other professional relationship between you and the publisher.
Not an insurer, agency or broker
Small Trades Coverage does not sell, solicit or negotiate insurance, does not hold a producer license, and does not place coverage. It does not quote policies and cannot tell you what you are covered for.
Coverage descriptions are general
Descriptions of what a policy covers or excludes refer to standard industry policy forms and to what providers publish, as read on the dates stated on each page. They do not describe any specific policy you may hold. Actual coverage is determined only by the wording of your own policy, and terms vary by carrier, by state and over time.
Statements about licensing or regulatory requirements reflect published government sources as of the verification date shown next to the claim. Requirements change. Confirm anything that matters against the current official source before acting on it, and treat the date on the page as part of the claim.
Accuracy and availability
This site is researched carefully and can still be wrong or out of date. It is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the publisher is not liable for any loss arising from reliance on this content. There is no guarantee that the site will be available, complete or maintained on any schedule; see the note on response times in the editorial policy.
